Erin
Gawron -Marching Band Assistant
Erin
came to Conyers from Indiana where she attended Avon High School in
Indianapolis. There she was very active in band activities, playing a different
instrument in every band. In high school, she participated in
marching band, wind ensemble, jazz band, indoor drumline and pit
orchestra. Erin then went to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in
Terre Haute where she majored in chemistry and math and was also a
part of the pep band. After college, she went straight to Purdue
University where she earned her masters degree in science education,
which led her to her current position as a chemistry teacher at
Heritage High School.

| Karen
Mullins-Marching Band Assistant
Karen is the director of the Genesis
Tree Instrumental Ensembles in Watkinsville, GA. She holds a
bachelor of Music Education from the University of Georgia and a
Master of Music Education from Bowling Green State University
(Ohio). She has taught middle school band in public school and
serves as an instructor at numerous summer music camps. She is the
orchestra director at Centennial Baptist Church in Rutledge and she
also teaches private lessons. Karen performs in the Athens brass
choir and in a local tuba quartet. Karen and her husband Leslie live
in Madison with their two sons, Nathan and Aaron.

Hannah Parker-Marching
Band Assistant

Hannah is a native to
Conyers and graduated from Heritage High School in 2006. She was a
member of the HHS band for 4 years where she was the recipient of
the Most Outstanding Senior award and the head librarian. Hannah is
currently attending college at Clayton State University where she is
obtaining her minor in office administration and major in
administrative management.

Ben Tingle-Marching Band Assistant/Band
Director at Edwards Middle School
A
native of McDonough, Georgia, Mr. Tingle is a graduate of Georgia
State University in Atlanta with a music education degree. While at
Georgia State, Mr. Tingle served as principal timpanist of the GSU
Orchestra and principal percussionist of the Georgia State Wind
Symphony. He has also performed with the GSU faculty “Jazztet” in
international tours to countries such as Costa Rica. Mr. Tingle has
been an active jazz drum set artist in the Atlanta area since 1995
and has performed with the likes of Gary Motley, Ernie Watts, Joe
Henderson, Ellis Marsalis, Miles Osland, Bobby Shew, Tom “Bones”
Malone, Russell Gunn, Rueben Rogers, Liz Wright, and the Harper
Brothers. His performance experience also includes Tara Winds and
the Southern Crescent Orchestra.
Currently Mr. Tingle is the head band
director at Edwards Middle School. Mr. Tingle is a highly sought
after adjudicator, clinician, consultant, percussion arranger, and
has also served as a percussion technician for Court of Honor Drum
and Bugle Corps. He currently resides in McDonough, Georgia with
his wife Melissa and daughter Madeleine.

| Heather
Bragg - Flag/Dance Line Choreographer-Instructor
Heather Bragg has
been serving as the Heritage High School Flag & Dance choreographer
for the past 6 years. Her innovative choreography has become a
trademark of the Flag & Dance Line and has led the flag line to
multiple contest championships. Mrs. Bragg is a graduate
of Heritage High School and was a Flag & Dance Line officer while in
school. She is currently living in Covington, GA and
graduated with a music education degree from Berry College.

Holli Long - Flag/Dance Line Instructor
Holli
comes to Heritage from the North. She grew up in
Michigan where she spent her high
school days twirling baton and her college years
marching with the University of
Michigan Marching Band. While in college,
Holli also marched with the Glassmen Drum & Bugle
Corps. She spent two years in the color guard
spinning flag, rifle, and, her personal favorite,
saber. Before coming to Heritage, she worked with
various marching bands and winter guards in
Michigan. Holli holds a
Bachelor of Arts from the
University of
Michigan and is a math teacher at
Heritage
High School. She currently
resides in
Grayson, GA, with her husband, Scott, also a Glassmen
alumnus, and cat, Ruby.

Jessica
McDonald Rollins - Flag/Dance Line Instructor
Jessica
is an instructor of the Flag & Dance Line. She graduated from Heritage High School in
1998 and currently resides in Conyers with her husband, Kevin
Rollins. During high school, Jessica was a member of the
flag & dance line for three years. She is an artist
and owns the Jessica Rollins Gallery in Conyers.
She specializes in painting portraits, murals and other
commissioned artwork.

Shannon Lemon -
Percussion Instructor
Shannon
is a native of the metro Atlanta area. He graduated from Henry
County High School in 1997. After graduating he obtained his
Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Clayton College and
State University. Shortly after that he obtained an Associate’s
degree in Mortuary Science and is now a licensed Funeral Director
and Embalmer and he is part owner of his family’s 60 year old
business. He marched in Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps
1998-2000 where he was the recipient of the Avedis Zildjian Award in
1999 and he aged out in 2000. He has taught various high school drum
lines throughout metro Atlanta and the state of Georgia. He also was
a percussion technician for Court of Honor Drum & Bugle Corps
2003-2004. Shannon is currently on staff for Odyssey Percussion
Theatre a percussion ensemble that competes in Winter Guard
International in the Percussion Independent World class. |
Gincy Moon -
Front Ensemble Percussion Instructor

Gincy Moon grew up in
Jackson, GA and graduated from Jackson High School in 1999. She
attended Georgia College and State University, where she
graduated with honors with both a Bachelor of Music Therapy and
Bachelor of Music Education degree. While attending GC&SU she
was a member of the University Concert Band and Percussion
Ensemble. Membership in other organizations include: Music
Educators National Conference, Sigma Alpha Iota-Women's Music
Fraternity, and the Atlanta Area Orff Chapter. She is currently
the Music Specialist at Pine Street Elementary in Conyers.

Tim
Hinton - Drill Designer and Music Arranger

Tim Hinton
is an Orlando-based composer and arranger writing for middle
school, high school, and college concert and marching bands.
He was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1960. Tim began playing the piano
in 2nd grade and joined the band in 4th grade playing the French
horn. Because of the inspiration of many excellent music teachers
and band directors, he decided to become a band director himself. He
received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the
University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and his Masters from Georgia
State University.
During college Tim had the
privilege of marching with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps
of Rockford Illinois for three summers (1980-82). He also taught
marching with the corps during the 1983 season, learning many tricks
of drill writing and cleaning that still serve him well as a
consultant. Tim is especially proud to have won the DCI Individual
and Ensemble Competition on french horn in 1982, being the first
person in DCI history to receive a perfect score of 100 in
individual competition.
Tim taught in the public schools for 10
years and developed a highly successful program at Dunwoody High
School in Dunwoody, Georgia. While there his bands consistently
received superior ratings in concert and marching performances and
he is proud to have introduced his students to a great variety of
quality music. His marching productions at Dunwoody H.S. were
heralded for their creativity and originality. During those years
with a relatively small band Tim learned many tricks of arranging to
overcome weaknesses and showcase strengths. He firmly believes that
any band can have a very effective show under any
circumstances.
